In the Hood..

We are delighted to announce the next edition of the series of talks by Dr Alex Kerr FBS “Getting into Academic Dress” steering us through the nursery slopes of academic/academical dress. The seminar covering:
“Hoods” will take place on: Thursday 27 February from 18h30 – 19h30 GMT.

Dr Kerr is an Oxford graduate and undertook his PhD at the University of Reading. He is a former tutor in medieval studies and college administrator. He has been Burgon Society’s Publications Editor, Secretary and is currently compiler of the Society’s online bibliography of academic dress. As an expert in technical communication and author of half a dozen articles in Transactions of the Burgon Society, we can be assured of an informative and accessible series of talks by Alex on the principal elements of academic costume.
The event which is free to all, will be recorded and made available for member and public access later.
