For our anniversary Congregation, on Saturday, 11th October the Burgon Society will return to Charterhouse, London a 600-year-old former Carthusian monastery, and present-day alms-house. This historic site was the venue for the many of the meetings of Society in its early years.
The programme for the day, which will start with arrivals at 11 am, will be:

11.00 a.m. – Arrivals
11.30 a.m. - Great Chamber
- Opening by President Professor Graham Zellick
- Welcome from The Master, Mr Peter Aiers
- Admission of new Fellow & welcome to new Patron
- Presidential Address & Closing ceremony
12.30 p.m. – Lunch - Tapestry Room
Afternoon Programme
2.00 – 4.00 p.m. - Great Chamber

Evening Celebrations

6.00 p.m. – Anniversary Dinner Le Café du Marché (advance booking required - see below)
Dress code - Congregation, Black gown. Afternoon, Festal Dress for those who wish.
A celebratory dinner will take place on the same day with guests assembling at 6pm at: Le Café du Marché, 22 Charterhouse Square, London EC1M 6DX
A two or three-course menu (£46 / £55) will be available, bookable in advance, with wine and beverages paid for individually on the evening.
