Spring Conference and AGM - Saturday 20 April 2024

The Society’s Spring Conference and Annual General Meeting will take place at Deloitte LLP, 1 New Street Square, London, EC4A 3HQ on Saturday 2oth April at 10h30 for 11 am and finishing around 4:30 pm.

We encourage as many Members and Fellows as possible to attend the short AGM, which though formal, is an important marker in the life of the Society.

The Spring Conference programme will include a wide variety of topics. Dr Karen Watts, Curator Emeritus at the Royal Armouries, will speak on the recent very successful Treasures of Gold and Silver Wire exhibition at the Guildhall, London. We will also hear about the appearance of academical dress in armorial bearings, the confluence of academical and ecclesiastical dress; Charles Franklyn; and an update from our Curator on the recent acquisitions to the Society’s Archive, following the reception of a number of significant donations over the past year. There will also be ample opportunity to inspect some of the more interesting items from the collection.

Further details of the Conference programme will be mailed with booking instructions to subscribing members and posted on the website shortly. Tickets are £15 per person for Members, £18 for guests (who are most welcome) and £12.50 for Student Members to include lunch and refreshments.
